What's the difference between the red & blue dots on the job pipeline?

The red dot means a new message while the blue dot means a new application that you haven't seen.

Why when I click the pipeline, the red dot disappears?

Once you click the pipeline, the red dot will automatically disappear as it will move directly to each candidate's profile.
