Custom states are unique to each job. A Default state differs from a Custom state in that it is automatically included in every Candidate List and cannot be removed or deleted. Moving candidates to any of the default states will also send them an automated email notification of the change in status.
Given the differing processes per position, adding Custom States to your Candidate Lists allows you to efficiently track your applicants as they go through your recruitment process.
To customize the pipeline of each job go to the candidate list of the job you would like to edit and look for the "Add Custom State" button on the upper right-hand portion of the page.
Type in a name for the state and once you click save it will appear in your pipeline. Take note that all custom states appear before the default Offered state. Custom states will also not be visible in the pipeline on your Jobs Dashboard.
In addition to that, you can add the Scheduler to specific states, such as for Interviews and Meetings, depending on what you desire to accomplish for a specific state.
